P1x3l P3rf3ct ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the TaskQuest app, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account Information (optional)
You can use TaskQuest as a guest without creating an account. If you choose to sign in with Google or with an email and password, we receive your display name and email address (and, for Google sign-in, your profile photo) to identify your account so your progress can sync across devices.
App Content
TaskQuest is a planner, so what we store is what you type into it — daily quests and habits, tasks and to-dos, mood and journal entries, brain-dump items, notes, self-entered budget figures (expenses, income, savings goals — never linked to a real bank account), household and study lists, medication and fitness checklists, sleep hours, and similar planner content. For signed-in users, this is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, linked to your account ID. For guests, it stays only on your device.
To save and restore your planner data across sessions and, if signed in, across devices.
To identify your account when you sign in so we can retrieve your saved data.
To show an optional rewarded video ad, only when you choose to tap "Watch an ad" for a small in-app bonus.
To process the one-time "Remove Ads" purchase, if you make it, through Google Play Billing.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing or for any purpose beyond providing TaskQuest's own features.
Cloud Storage (signed-in users)
Planner data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, a cloud database operated by Google LLC, under an identifier tied to your account. Access is restricted to your own account. Firebase's privacy practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Device Storage (all users)
A copy of your data is also kept on your device. For guests, this is the only copy and it never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time (see "Your Choices" below).
TaskQuest uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
Google Sign-In — optional authentication when you choose to sign in with Google.
Google Firebase (Auth & Firestore) — account authentication and cloud sync of your planner data.
Google AdMob — shows the optional rewarded video ad. Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. Where legally required (e.g., the EEA and UK), we ask for your consent before any ad loads.
Google Play Billing — processes the one-time "Remove Ads" purchase. Your payment details are handled entirely by Google Play — we never see or store them.
We do not use analytics or crash-reporting tools, and we do not share your data with any party beyond the Google services above.
Internet — required to reach Google Sign-In, Firestore, and AdMob.
Notifications — optional, only used if you turn reminders on in Settings; off by default.
No camera, location, contacts, or microphone access is requested or used.
TaskQuest is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Play as a guest — use TaskQuest without signing in; no account information is collected.
Reset all data — Settings has a "Reset all data" option that wipes everything on your device immediately.
Delete your cloud data — signing out removes the local session on that device. To request deletion of the copy stored in Firestore, contact us below.
Turn off reminders — toggle notifications off anytime in Settings.
Clear app storage — on Android, under Settings > Apps > TaskQuest > Storage > Clear Data.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use TaskQuest after a change means you accept the revised policy.
